Services for John Whipple are as follows:  Calling hours are Thursday, Nov. 30 4-6 pm at Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central St., Winchendon.  Funeral service is on Dec. 1 at 11:00 am at the Veterans Cemetery, Glen Allen St., Winchendon. Rev. Richard Jones will be doing the service.

Thank you to all who helped decorate the sanctuary for Christmas.

The Deacons will meet next Sunday, Dec. 10 following the morning worship.

Poinsettias – Unfortunately the cost of the poinsettias went up again this year.  They are now $22 each. We are ordering again from To Each His Own Design.  There will be forms at the back of the church along with an envelope to put your money in.  I won’t be in church Sunday, but I will pick up the envelope Sunday night. If you are paying by check, please make it out to Memorial Congregational Church and write Christmas plant on the memo line.  Deadline for ordering is Wednesday, Dec. 13th & the deadline for payment is Sunday, Dec. 17th.  You have the option of purchasing your own plant and giving me the bulletin information by Sunday, Dec. 17th.  -Barbara

The Ames-More Guild Christmas Gathering will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 13th at William’s Restaurant in Gardner at 6:00 pm. Please contact Linda to sign up and see about carpooling.

On Sunday, Dec. 17th there will be a special Children’s Sermon with gifts during our regular service.  If you need more information, please contact Joanne.

The Ames-More Guild is asking the congregation to join them in collecting much needed diapers for the greater Gardner Diaper Pantry.  Sizes needed are 4, 5, & 6. Also needed are baby wipes. The deadline for donating is Wednesday, January 17th.You can bring them any time to church.  If you want them picked up, please contact Linda and she will arrange for pick-up. Any amount is greatly appreciated.

If you know of anyone in the hospital, homebound, or in need of a visit, please contact Chairperson of the Deacons, Joanne. We need everyone’s help keeping in touch with our church family.

Our organist, Michelle, is looking for magazines to use in her classes at Monty Tech.  If you have some you are getting rid of, please let Barbara know so arrangements can be made to pick them up.
